Just completed a beautiful deck with Michels Construction. Twenty-nine years ago, Bob had his skilled carpenter build us a very nice deck with excellent construction. We are pleased to now replace that deck with updated materials to create an outstanding outside space for our summer enjoyment. The carpenters, Shane and Justin were very talented. They were exacting with all of the deck measurements and very organized in keeping the construction site orderly and clean. All of the staff on the job were very pleasant. Andy Michels was very helpful in trying to help us navigate this process efficiently. His pleasant interpersonal style was a plus to the job too. My wife and I are just finishing a major remodel of the outside of our house. Bob Michels Construction was very professional, respectful of our personal property and our time. It has been almost a year since the project was completed and we still are so happy with everything, both the design and how the project was executed with Bob Michels. I remember the day when we were working out some of the details before the project began, and they made a suggestion that took the project from a simple replacement of finishes and appliances to a real renovation that brought improved function and total new look to the spaces. Every day is pure joy in our home after our remodel project with Bob Michels Construction. We had never undertaken something like this before, and they made the experience educational and fun, while always being considerate of what we desired to make our house a home. We redid the entire main level which included a new mudroom, laundry room, and powder room, while redoing the kitchen, sun room, dining room, living room, master bed / bath (and they made it possible for us to live in our home all the while). After interviewing 3 general contractor we really felt that Bob and Andy could realize our vision while ensuring quality craftsmanship. This came through with their skilled team who was a pleasure to have in our home. Many people ask if our home was recently built, as Michels also replaced our windows, the roof, repaired siding, painted the exterior, and landscaped our backyard to correct some water issues. We especially appreciated how paperwork was handled so that we could track against our budget

Bob Michels remodeled a bedroom wing of our house. 2700 square feet, creating two new bathrooms, moved the laundry room, and created a lovely master bed-bath. They started July 1 and finished on October 1 as promised. It is beyond our expectations and all of the construction people were so amazing. They made suggestions on improvements that has made our home more efficient and lowered our maintenance, which is a real peace of mind. Quality workmanship, with a great deal of attention to detail. We love our new space.

We hired Bob and Andy to update our 23-year-old kitchen. We already liked the layout but everything else needed to be refreshed. We interviewed Michels Construction (MC) and one other contractor, contacted references and viewed a flawless new construction by MC and we felt confident we were in great hands with Andy and Bob. They were able to schedule the work while we took a 5 week vacation out of state. Frequent emails, phone calls, and photos of the work in progress gave us additional assurance that things were going well. We came home to a beautiful new kitchen that we love. We are looking forward to working with Andy/Bob on additional projects in the near future. The quality of their workmanship is awesome and they make the whole process fun

We used Bob Michels Construction to remodel our kitchen. After meeting Bob and Andy Michels, we felt it was the right fit for us. Turns out, we were right! The remodel consisted of enameling our current cabinets, painting all the millwork in the kitchen and family room, adding a backsplash, LED lighting above and below the cabinets, Cambria countertops, painting of the walls and ceiling, all new appliances, sink, faucet as well as beautiful lighting above the island. What we thought might be a painful experience living without a kitchen for an extended period of time, turned out to be a great month-long event in our lives. We could not have asked for a better experience from beginning to end. WE worked closely with Andy Michels who is extremely knowledgeable, has a great eye for detail, and is very easy to work with. Communication is key and one of the many things I liked most about Andy was his communication throughout. It never ceased to amaze me. Since Andy is always on top of everything, we never had to worry about any aspect of the remodel. Michels Construction was very respectful of our home and went to great lengths to cover and protect every area that wasn’t being remodeled. The project came in on budget, was actually done in less time that originally projected, and we could not be happier with the way the kitchen turned out. We would highly recommend using Bob Michels Construction to anyone considering building a new home or remodeling their existing home.

Not only did we use Bob Michels (and Andy) for our four-season porch addition in 2001, the firm also did a complete renovation of our lower level living room, bedroom, and new bath in 2008. The attention to detail was extremely well done – commendable. The quality of materials chosen was excellent. The workmanship of their crews was top notch and on time. To top it off, when we had an accidental water damage, only this year, Andy brought the crew back and fixed it all. These are dedicated people – dedicated to their customers. They stick with you even after all is said and done. The comfort of that is reassuring
